My friend Kim, a fellow fan of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series, e-mailed to tell me that they’ve begun casting for the film version of Twilight, the first in the book series. Appropriately, they’ve cast the leads of Bella and Edward first, and I think they did a fantastic job. Check out who won the roles here and tell me what you think of the casting.

I’m so EXCITED about this movie. I loved this book so much, I don’t have the words… Now, off to check out the casting.
Okay… LOVE Bella. Not so much Edward, but I suppose I can live with it (like my opinion matters! LOL).

I’m really excited about it and hope they do a good job adapting the book to the screen.

Bella’s well done, but I’m hoping that’s just a bad picture of Edward. Ew.

Edward was Cedric Diggery!
I think it’s fabulous casting.
Though I have to say I’m a bit mystified by the raves about the book. I liked it a lot, don’t get me wrong–I gave it a 9. But it was very slow, far too long, and not much happened. I’m curious to see how they’ll film it. I don’t really want a lot of shots of her doing homework and sleeping.
