No, it’s not the Blue Room at the White House. There’s a new Blue Room on the block. I still have to take down the masking tape that’s on the trim, shampoo the carpet and put all the stuff back in the room, but I’m done painting!! I can’t believe how different the room looks. It was an icky shade of “white”. My hubby said all I need is some puffy white clouds at the top of the walls. :)

Puffy White Clouds? If you have been in Las Vegas they have puffy white clouds on some of the ceilings in some of the malls. If you ever saw it you would change the color of your room back to icky white.
We are on our way to Allison’s this morning.

Husbands! It looks great, a lot better than my blue hall. What color did you use by the fireplace? (That is a fireplace, right?)

    What Mary said.

My husband would have all the walls white if he could…not me. I love your blue, Trish! Color is a great thing and I love it when people use it.

My mom painted the ceiling of our family room blood red when I was growing up…(the decor was Colonial America; this was in the mid-70s) and it made the room so warm all the time.

I’ll bet you just go and sit in that room now and look at those walls and enjoy them. I know I would.

The light blue is called Spring Waterfall. The darker is Ship’s Harbor. Both Olympic Paint colors. Yes, it’s a fireplace. It’s actually a double one. You can see the other side of it in the earlier den picture. I shampooed the carpet today so it looks way better now that it does in that picture. Colleen, that Colonial American style sounds neat. I also have an accent wall in my dining room, a dark maroonish type color to contrast the rest of the tannish walls.

I painted my hallway Arctic Ice. It came out too baby blue for me, though.
