Recently, I’ve been watching reruns of Little House on the Prairie on TV Land. This was my favorite show when I was growing up, and the stories still hold up. That’s not always the case for programs we liked as children. I remember liking Land of the Lost when I was a kid, but I saw a rerun years later and just sat there wondering how I could have ever liked such a bad show. And I always watched The Dukes of Hazzard in first-run, but now when I see reruns they just seem a million times cheesier.
So, are there any shows that you enjoyed as a child that when watched years later either did or didn’t hold up?
Today’s writing progress: 12 pages on the new women’s fiction. Yay! Watch that progress bar go.
And today’s Make-You-Smile Picture of the Day…isn’t this the cutest? It’s like he’s saying, “Hey, Ma, let me tell you a secret.”

Awwww!!!
I’m with you on Land of the Lost and Dukes of Hazard. H.R. Pufnstuf comes on every now and again, and I loved it when I was 4. I guess I couldn’t see the LSD influence
I loved Night Stalker, too, but now, oh, my!

I still think the Dukes of Hazard is pretty good for what it was… I mean, I noticed the cheesy quality back then, but who cared… they were so cute in those jeans:)

I’m with Teri on The Dukes of Hazzard. I didn’t watch it for the plot, I watched it for the beefcake. *g*
Love the polar bear picture!

So funny you’d mention Little House. My hubby *loved* that show. He used to watch it with his sister when they were kids. A couple of times, I’ve caught him watching reruns. You’ve gotta love a man that watches Little House and can build one, too.
I loved Moonlighting! That’s still a great show — so ahead of its time. It’s really held up for me. Charlie’s Angels was another of my childhood faves, but it is pretty formulaic when I look back. Good topic, Trish!

Yeah, Charlie’s Angels is another one. Good one, Heather.

I’ve been catching up on my Little House, too!
And don’t tell me that about Land of the Lost – I couldn’t handle knowing it’s not the same as an adult.
