I just checked my MySpace account, and I’m up to 408 friends. I’m trying to friend fellow authors and readers who may enjoy either or both my adult romances and my young adult fiction. It’s a little more than 13 weeks until my first book, A Firefighter in the Family, hits shelves, and I’d like to be up to at least 1,000 friends on MySpace by then. So if you have a MySpace account (or know someone who does who might be interested in my books), zip on over to my MySpace page and add me as a friend. When A Firefighter in the Family is released on Sept. 9, I’ll draw a name randomly from among my MySpace friends to receive a free copy.

My myspace account doesn’t work :P - I only got it to enter a contest :X - so I think myspace is getting it’s revenge.
I do have facebook - sad that’s not the challenge.
myspace is too busy for me - and all the news and issues with teenagers and pedophiles squicked me out - but it’s so popular for stars, and even politicians now. Crazy!

Hey, I’m on Facebook too. There’s a link on my homepage, or I guess you could do a search on Facebook. I tried to post the link here but it’s enormously long.

I got rid of my myspace account a while ago. My friend has pressured me to signup for Facebook, but so far I’ve resisted. Is there a big difference between the two?

I only recently actually did anything with my MySpace account. I just “friended” you. I need to figure out how more things work on there. Not that I need something that requires yet more time online…. *g*

I’ll do that if I can figure out how–I *think* I have a MySpace account… I’m trying to avoid finding more time-eating ways to spend time on the internet ;)

Jane, MySpace and Facebook are both social networking sites, but I think Facebook has a cleaner look and is easier to use. But I use both. I have a Bebo account too, but it doesn’t get as much use.

LOL, Tori and Fedora — I hear you on the time on the Internet. I just try to limit it to a certain number of minutes a day.

  7. Fedora says:

Ah, Trish, that sort of thing would work if I actually had any self-control… ;) I’m the kind of person who hits the snooze button on the alarm clock about a million times, so I doubt a timer would work too well in my case…

  8. Trish says:

Fedora, would you believe I’ve never hit the snooze button? Isn’t that weird? But there are things that challenge my self-control — namely sweets. I have a HUGE sweet tooth.
