Hard to believe, but another summer movie season is just around the corner. Yahoo! Movies printed their list today of the Top 10 Most Anticipated Summer Movies. Four of them (Prince Caspian, The Dark Knight, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and Iron Man) were already on my list, but after perusing the Yahoo list, they all sound good, though I probably won’t see Sex in the City since I never watched the show. I didn’t realize the new Incredible Hulk was coming out this summer. I’m a fan of superhero movies and Edward Norton, so this new version sounds interesting. You can see the full list, with links to trailers, here.

What movies are you anticipating this summer? What about the rest of the year? I’m eagerly anticipating Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in November.

I’m looking forward to “The Dark Knight” and the X-files movies. I love superhero movies, too. I’m just not so sure that Edward Norton would be convincing as the Hulk. I’m also looking forward to the new Mummy movie.

I’m pathetic when it comes to movies–I have SO many books in my TBR, I can’t imagine having to make time for movies, too! ;) I did hear something about Indiana Jones though and might have to make an exception for that one–is Harrison Ford in that one? ;)

Jane, I can’t believe I forgot about the X-Files movie. I was a big X-Files fan. I only lukewarm about the Mummy movie because Maria Bello will be playing Evelyn instead of Rachel Weisz. Maria is a fine actress; I just hate it when I’ve identified a role with a certain actor/actress, then suddenly there’s another person playing the role. Oh, and I’ll give Edward Norton a chance because I really like him.

Fedora, I have a ginormous TBR pile too, but I still love to watch movies and watch quite a few. And yep, Harrison is back as Indy! When my sister told me recently that it has been nearly 19 years since the last Indy movie came out, I couldn’t believe it. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade came out in 1989, my first year of college. Wow, times flies!

Prince Caspian, Indiana Jones for sure. X-Files! Yay!!! The others I’ll probably wait to come out in DVD.

Ooo I can’t wait to see Dark Knight! CANNOT WAIT. It might be the first movie I’ve seen on opening night for a long time. I also really want to see Prince Caspian - and … possibly the Sex in the City movie.

  6. Rae Ann says:

Looking forward to the new Indiana Jones. Probably will have to see it on opening weekend.

Definitely Prince Caspian–I’m even planning to take the day off from work. Not so fanatically for Indiana Jones and Harry Potter, but I am looking forward to them.
