March 1st, 2012
It has been a crazy busy year so far. I’ve been up to my eyeballs in deadlines — wrote two complete books, revised another, and have been reading lots of books to judge them in the RITA contest. So I’m just now getting around to updating my site and posting the entries I received in my Texas-themed contest.
I asked readers to send me either photos of themselves somewhere in Texas or to tell me where in Texas they would like to visit for a chance to win the complete Teagues of Texas trilogy releasing from Harlequin American in January, March and May of this year. In addition to the comments in the previous post, here are the entries I received:
I have never been to Texas, but it has been a dream of mine for a very long time. I would like to see all of Texas as I read so much about it in books and see so much in movies, and everything about it just totally fascinates me! The grass really looks so much greener over there, the people look and sound so friendly! I must have been there in a previous life, and it just seems that I am meant to live there and not in South Africa.

This is my crew and I in front of the Astrodome in 1975 as we were on our way in for a game. We are all life-long Houstonians.

Patricia, you are the winner of the books. I’ll mail them to you as soon as I receive the third one from Harlequin.
