I have an interview up at Katie’s Book Blog. Katie is a high school senior who loves to blog about the wonderful world of books and reading. Swing by and see if you can find out anything new about me. :)

Another review of Heartbreak River went live today over at The Story Siren.  She said the book “swept her away.” I like that.

I went to the library today to pick up one book in particular, Prom Dates from Hell by Rosemary Clement-Moore. Rosemary’s Hell Week is a RITA finalist this year, and I want to read all the finalists before the awards ceremony in July. But I hate to read series out of order, so I got the first in the series, uh, first. :) Anyway, I went in for the one book and came out with three. I can’t help myself — in libraries or bookstores. I also got ghostgirl by Tonya Hurley and A Countess Below Stairs by Eva Ibbotson.

Today’s hours disappeared in a wave of promotion. I answered questions for upcoming interviews, contacted bookstores about potential book signings, and updated this site with a new page featuring some of the wonderful reviews I’ve received. I’ve had a couple of lukewarm ones as well, but thankfully I’ve not received any truly terrible ones yet. At least I don’t know of them, and I hope I continue to be blissfully ignorant if they’re out there.

Back on the topic of crazy weather, I did indeed see a brief squall of snow today. So weird when I’ve already mown the lawn and flowers are blooming in the flowerbeds.

After a log day of work, I couldn’t face the computer anymore and instead watched a movie tonight. Has anyone else seen Amazing Grace with Ioan Gruffudd? It’s such an inspiring story, about William Wilberforce, a member of the House of Commons back in the late 1700s and early 1800s. He was the champion of the abolition of slave trade in the British Empire for years until its eventual passage in 1807. He continued to fight for the complete abolition of slavery.

Finally, I’m blogging over at Romance Novel TV today about the wonderful world of young adult novels. Swing by and say, “Hi.”

Here’s the latest installment of our crazy weather. Today it was about 75 and sunny. I backed the car out of the garage and gave her a good washing, inside and out, and vacuumed her. I’m headed to Cincinnati next weekend, and I wanted my wee car to be as clean as a 16-year-old car with more than 260,000 miles can be. She was still sporting her winter coat of road grime. Ugh. But she’s spiffier looking now.

Okay, so that was today. This evening, some heavy rain came through, bringing in a cold front. I’m not talking cooling us down into the 50s. No, tomorrow (actually, it’s today since it’s after midnight), on April 6, we have a freeze warning and a chance of SNOW! Dude, that’s so wrong. Guess who is not doing yard work. So I guess that means I have to scrub the shower (oh, the glamorous life of a writer) and begin the revisions on my second YA book that are due later this month now that my two previous projects are done and turned in.

It’s my day to blog at the Wet Noodle Posse. Ironic that I’m talking about taking inspiration from nature on a day when I’ll probably stay indoors other than a quick trip to the mailbox. So swing on by and leave a comment if you have a moment. Don’t let me be lonely.

I’m thrilled that my first young adult adult, Heartbreak River (written under the name Tricia Mills), is coming out this month (April 16). And I’m going to be appearing a lot of places online, including lots of fun, YA-centered blogs. The first two appearances are up — one a review and one an interview — so it would be fabulous if some of you could swing by and support the wonderful YA bloggers who make this possible by leaving comments.
