On this day in 1989, I graduated high school. Wow, it doesn’t seem that long ago. Alas, I don’t have that many pictures, but here’s a little look back:

My friend Kim, left, and I walk into the gym to “Pomp and Circumstance.”

Three of my good friends who went to school in the next county came to my graduation. Jen, left, Butch and Richard still had a year of high school to go at this point. Though I haven’t seen the guys and years, Jen and I still get together when we can. She’s also my concert buddy. We went to see Nickelback a few months back.

Great shots, Trish. A picture like that really does take you back, doesn’t it? We don’t have a formal high school graduation here – although tht may have changed, they have things like proms now that they didn’t have when I was a young un. What fun to get dressed up in a gown and mortarboard!

Love the pics! Too cute. You haven’t changed a bit.
You’re the same age as my brother. Class of ’89..

Didn’t we look good?! Thanks for the memory jog, I knew there was something about today to remember. It was only 20 years ago, and next week my little girl will leave the confines of kindergarten. I’m so glad I waited until I was “old” to have kids! There’s still time for you…

Really, Anna? No graduation ceremony? I thought that was universal, but I guess not.
Tawny, it truly doesn’t feel like that long ago.
Keri, yep, Class of ’89. But I bet I’m a year older than your brother. My parents started me to school late, so I’ll be 39 on Friday. I graduated four days before my 19th birthday.
Kim! Hey, glad you popped by. BTW, I’m doing another signing in Marion June 2.

These are some really cool pictures! It definitely makes me think of the time before me.
I just stopped by after finding your website in your bio in the back of “Heartbreak River”. Very interesting book!
